The terms of Incident Automation incident text messages, the text-message program run by Incident Automation Inc..
The program
Incident Automation incident text messages is run by Incident Automation Inc. for personnel assigned to a wildland fire incident. It sends operational messages about the incident: confirmations of the locations and status you text in, your onboarding links, and IWI (incident within an incident) alerts if you join an incident's IWI text list.
How you join
You receive these texts only after you agree:
- By ticking the text-message box on an incident's check-in form. The box is optional, and checking in does not require it.
- By replying YES to an invitation to an incident's IWI text list, after the incident's staff add your number. You get IWI texts only if you reply YES.
- At a product demonstration, when the presenter adds your number with your permission so you receive the demonstration's texts.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies: it depends on the incident and on how often you text us. Message and data rates may apply.
Help and stopping
Text HELP to the number that texts you for help, or email contact@incidentautomation.org, or call (408) 763-2796.
Text STOP to the number that texts you to stop all messages from this program. After STOP we send you no further messages unless you opt in again, by texting START or ticking the box on the check-in form.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
How we handle your information, including your opt-in, is in our Privacy Policy.
